You’ll never go back to store-bought after tasting these healthy and delicious energy bars that are surprisingly easy to make. These chewy, chocolate chip bars are perfect for on-the-go snacking, and these protein-packed treats will leave you feeling satisfied.

This recipe makes a healthy, quick (all it takes is a quick spin in a hand mixer), baked energy bar featuring ingredients like breakfast cereal, butter, sweet brown sugar, eggs, chocolate chips, and rolled oats. Freeze your homemade creations for a later date, or pack the freshly made bars in a Ziploc bag for a portable breakfast or mid-morning snack.



– 1.5-2 Cups of crunchy breakfast cereal (crushed)
– 3/4 Cup of softened butter
– 3/4 Cup of packed brown sugar
– 3/4 Cup of sugar
– 1 Teaspoon of vanilla extract
– 2 Eggs
– 1.5 Cups of self-raising flour
– 3/4 Cup of quick cooking oats
– 1 Teaspoon of baking soda
– 2/3-3/4 Cup of choc chips
– 2 Tablespoons of quick oats
– 1/4 Cup of Choc chips



1. Get a mixing bowl and put in the crunchy breakfast cereal and crush them.
2. Get a stand mixer and put in the softened butter, packed brown sugar, sugar, vanilla extract, and eggs. Mix it until it’s
well combined.
3. While mixing, slowly add the self-raising flour, quick cooking oats, baking soda, crushed crunchy breakfast cereal, and choc chips.
4. Get a rectangular baking tray and put in the mixture. Spread it evenly and flatten it down.
5. Sprinkle some quick oats and choc chips over the top.
6. Put it in the oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit or 175 degrees Celsius for about 25 to 30 minutes.
7. Once done, let it cool for about an hour and cut into pieces.
