Amaze your kids with the creation of these Gummy Jell-O Watermelon slices that look just like the real thing but with a fun twist. Just use this nifty trick that starts with scooping out the inside of a halved watermelon. Using the empty rinds as clever forms which are filled to the brim with sweet and tasty gelatin, these gummy treats are sure to be a hit at your summer picnics and days by the pool.

After the dessert is frozen for a couple of hours, the result is a delightful treat you can cut into watermelon-like slices. The juicy red dessert is a wiggly, jiggly treat that kids can hold and eat.


– Cut a watermelon in half
– 3 Packets of jello/jelly 85 grams a packet
– 30 Grams of unflavoured gelatin
– 1.5 Cups of boiling water


1. Scoop all the watermelon out and put the empty watermelon in a bowl to keep it steady.
2. Get a jug and put in the jello/jelly powder, unflavoured gelatin, and boiling water. Stir it until the powder has dissolved.
3. Get your empty watermelon and pour the jello mixture in. Put it in the fridge for an hour to set.
4. Once it is ready, cut the watermelon into easy-to-bite pieces.
