It may sound strange to make a drink resembling blood but remember, Halloween is just around the corner and the kid’s will delight at the addition of this tasty creation to their ghoulish party menu.

This yummy concoction gets its authentic look from mixing cold water, corn syrup and either chocolate or strawberry topping, depending on the bloody hue you’re aiming for. And, get added vibrancy from placing a few drops of red food coloring to the mix. Place in a Ziploc bag for added effect and thrill the kids and their friends during Halloween with a drink they’d never imagine was edible.



– 1 Cup of water
– 2 Tablespoons of corn syrup
– Chocolate or strawberry syrup/topping/sauce
– 20-30 drops of red food colouring
– chocolate (optional)



1. Get a cup of water then add the corn syrup, strawberry syrup/topping/sauce, and red food colouring.
2. Add some chocolate to it until you get the color that you want. (optional)
3. Pour everything into a ziplock bag and drink up!
